New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball  via The Nickelplate Express

The historic Nickelplate Express of Noblesville, Indiana features themed train tours and hosted events throughout the year for all ages.

To bring in the 2024 New Year with classic style and class, The Nickelplate Express hosted a masquerade ball in Atlanta, Indiana with transportation to and from the venue aboard  Santa Fe Railroad Hi-Level passenger cars pulled by 426 “…a Nickel Plate Road GP7…” and 4214 “…a 1956 F9 diesel locomotive originally built for the Erie Mining Company.”

The tour aboard this rolling museum of history is unique in every way. Gently swaying down the track among extravagant, handmade ball gowns and masqueraded strangers in a classic passenger car carries you back in time. The impact of this experience is impossible to resist.

Arriving in Atlanta, Indiana, 12.5 miles down the track from Noblesville, the tastefully appointed, beautifully catered venue featured a hardwood dancefloor, a modern string quartet, a photobooth and a charming back patio with a blazing campfire hearth.

Every detail was thoughtfully placed and professionally executed. It was pure joy, and New Year perfection.
